How important is degree to you ? In astrology

What does it mean when Leo has 29⁰?

Thank you sm!

mysoullanguage Answer:

degrees aren’t that important at all, in fact I think they should only be looked at when they have specific critical degrees, such as 0°, 14°/15°/16°, 18°, 22°, or 29°; however, people still like looking at them because each degree can pinpoint a unique talent or trait that differs from other placements. this can be found if, for example, you have venus on a degree not listed above, but is still a degree that explains your beauty. they are not the only determining factor when reading a birth chart but they can be very prominent. you can learn a lot just by a critical degree. the reason I choose these degrees specifically is because:

  • 0° is what I call the newborn °; if you have any placement in this °, then the placement will exude unaltered, undiluted energy. there is no filter to this placement. it’s an aries degree. if you have mercury in 0° for example, then you will talk in a manner that is bold, confident, honest. if venus is in 0°, then the way you love will be very much naive, forgiving, and deeply affectionate. if leo is in 0°, boldness will run through and through.
  • 14°, 15°, and 16° are crisis °; if you have any placement with this °, you will experience humbling experiences that teach you certain lessons. if in mars, you will have trouble or fear with confrontation and you will find it hard to exert yourself and put pressure towards what you want. if in neptune, you will have a hard time understanding the difference between certain spiritual indulgences. in other words, you will struggle with your spirituality, religion. you will have an obsessive mind tailored to many fantasies you escape to.
  • 18° is a diabolical °; this is a virgo °, and supposedly brings illness and misfortune to whatever planet or placement you have in this °. if in mercury, it can manifest as nervousness or extreme anxiety and issues with diet and general health, or body issues. if in saturn, it will manifest poorly and can bring literal sickness to you. if in jupiter, it can bring obesity; it will also come as trouble manifesting what you wish for. if in the sun, there will be great trouble and over-rationalisation of the personality to the point where shyness and anxiety becomes prominent issues
  • 22° is a capricornus °; supposedly this is also a deadly degree, many calling it a “kill or be killed” °. this doesn’t manifest as actual death but it can certainly determine an absent father figure (whether the father figure died or is ill or just absent.) this placement is also regarded as a fame degree because it’s observed in a lot of celebrity birth charts. typically this placement brings a lot of struggle to the planet; think of saturn taking over the planet and controlling it. for example, if moon is in 22°, there will be great resistance with feelings and over-rationalisation. there will be a lot of loneliness and seclusion with this placement. however, it still breeds someone emotionally mature and capable of handling deep grief and turbulent emotions.
  • 29° is a leo °; it is an anaretic °, and it is the conclusionary ° to any placement. this is a mature and well-versed placement but it can also breed a person who is erratic or unstable because there is a need to finish a mission with regards to the placement, and quickly so. if moon is in 29°, there is an urgency to feel deeply and to become so emotionally aware and deep. this manifests in emotional maturity. if in mercury or jupiter, there is an urgency to learn and know everything; to travel everywhere and speak to everyone; to gain knowledge in everything you do. this is a heavily radiant placement and is very strong in how it presents itself. whatever placement you have with this ° will be heavily felt by those around you, much like 0°.

with regards to your question, your leo in 29° will be more-or-less in its natural state, although you should take that statement with a grain of salt.

  • leo is concerned with safety in the self. it is a vain and arrogant placement and can certainly breed someone ignorant and narcissistic. however, it’s an extreme manifestation of the sign, and is not all that legitimate. I would regard this placement as a very enlightening experience as this could help build a code of conduct for you that is built on strong morals and ideals. leo is concerned with perfection and is, again, vain; there is a strong need to establish the self around others. your presence is certainly strong and not easily missed. the urgency you would have with this placement would be to establish an identity within you and a high self-esteem also. you need confidence within you, you need recognition, and love.

many people have regarded this placement as a guaranteed fame degree, though I’ve never actually observed any birth charts nor have I observed enough of them to actually see that. either way, it’s not just another degree. there is massive growth in self-worth and relationships with this placement, though it will massively depend what context we are talking in; you could be talking about your moon being in 29°, or your DC, MC, or neptune, or literally anything. at face value, leo in 29° will go through many enlightening episodes of learning self-worth and developing a self-esteem that is strong and solid. we can explore some options below:

  • leo sun in 29° — you will have many experiences that will revolve around your identity and will also have many identity crisis in which you struggle knowing who are vs. who you should be. there is great uncertainty in how you feel about yourself. your self-esteem will go through many ups and downs and you will struggle maintaining your self-esteem for long before feeling worthless again. you will have trouble knowing your true purpose in life but you may also have an unresting urge to do something and put your energy towards something. there is great fear in change and you may be very controlling and a perfectionist. still, you are very mature and you hold yourself well in front of others. you are unapologetically moralistic and have very strong personal boundaries, or at least try to. your ideals are very specific to you. you are wise in life, especially when it comes to personal relationships and building the self.
  • leo mars in 29° — there is an exertion of boldness and confidence, but it can manifest as sloppiness. there is a heavy karmic duty of controlling your sex drive and becoming familiar with controlling your energy towards personal ambitions. you are wise and have strong personal boundaries and certainly don’t lack confidence or wisdom when it comes to getting what you want. however, you may feel as though you don’t really go for anything because you feel content not having something, or you only really ever chase something that builds your personal character. if you are a woman, you will experience and gain wisdom with men that are arrogant, petty, and bold.
  • leo venus in 29° — there is a heavy maturity in this placement, though an urgency to love someone and to have a family with them. there is an urgency to find someone - the one - and to love them as much as possible. there is also an urgency to be recognised by others and to establish a healthy temple within you. you are mature and know what you want and are very specific on how you see relationships but struggle with many breakdowns surrounding love. to others, you have a very different way of thinking to others. you are bold, magnetic, and radiant in love. this placement may also bring many karmic partners around and there may be certain missions your soul must complete before moving on.

& I just think writing on ° is fun and educational because many people are interested in them. while they are not the final say on a placement, they can certainly help with a question you’re looking to answer!

﹥*:ꔫ:*+゚ Observations of the 22 degree in astrology 🫂 ﹥*:ꔫ:*+゚

The 22 degree is Capricorn ruled and so as such, will give Capricorn like traits to whatever planet it has grasp on. The 22 degree is known as the “kill or be killed” or “assassin” degree. Normally when I hear about this degree it’s most of the time negative, which in a way, is understandable. However having this degree in your chart shouldn’t make you scared that bad things will happen to you. The 22 degree can manifest really positively in a persons life but it can cause some hardships as well. All in all, this post isn’t meant to scare anyone who have these placements.

Warning: mentions of religious trauma, abuse, addiction.

  • I’ve noticed people with this placement, myself included, tend to be very restless.
  • There is a constant need to complete or finish something, but we don’t know what it is.
  • Many people in my life who have this degree in personal planets, especially on their sun, north node and ascendant, tend to have no idea what they want to do with their life.
  • They have a strong knowing that they have a mission or purpose in this lifetime but have no idea what this mission/purpose is.
  • People with the 22 degree on their sun go through either many ego deaths that help them overcome subconscious blocks that stood in their way, or have one long drawn out ego death that can last several years. This obviously can be seen as a bad thing, but the journey is worth while, and in the long run it is beneficial.
  • Venus in 22 degree may possibly experience a lot of abuse and misuse of power within relationships, physically and mentally.
  • Neptune in 22 degree may struggle with addictions and in worst cases can lead to life long damages to the mental and physical health.
  • Having Neptune in this degree also can tell you that you may struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and find it hard to break free from delusions and fantasies you have created within your head. This would be amplified if Neptune is in the third house or is in conjunction to Mercury.
  • Ascendant in the 22 degree may feel at times they want someone to control and fix their life for the better. These individuals may feel very tired from constantly being in control (in unhealthy circumstances they can be super controlling of everything in their life, sometimes the people as well) and turn to others to help let them rest.
  • Asc in 22 degree may funnily enough also have a saviour complex, esp if asc is in virgo/pisces. They could easily help others take control of their own lives and could be seen as the “stable” friend that is always there for everyone. Deep down they just want to be taken care of.
  • If the Asc is in contact with venus or has major aspects to planets in the second or 7th house, these individuals could rely on relationships to feel wanted.
  • What Asc and honestly Venus in 22 degree need to learn is that they are doing fine on their own, and while it is definitely more than okay to ask for help, they can learn the importance of being independent and standing up for oneself.
  • Uranus in 22 degree can result in someone who is unpredictable and could have constant change happening to them. The worst case I’ve seen where this degree has fully taken a hold of someone is in Andrew Tates chart 😭 Bro has a sagittarius sun conjunct uranus, both of which are in the 22 degree. Ofc if you have these placements it doesn’t mean your like him, it all depends on how you choose to let these placements manifest.
  • Venus/Asc in 22 degree may have low self esteem and don’t regard themselves as attractive . These natives are genuinely beautiful but they just can’t see it for themselves and tend to pick themselves apart ( this is esp true if venus or ascendant is in contact with neptune)
  • Moon at 22 degree may have issues expressing their more emotional and or feminine side. Depending on aspects, the sign, and where the Moon is placed in the chart, this could be due to childhood and environmental problems, where you may have not been able to freely express your emotions.
  • Similarly, Mercury at the 22 degree can indicate struggling with freely expressing your opinions and thoughts.
  • ^This also goes for people who’s 3rd/9th house are at the 22 degree.

  • In terms of health, the 22 degree could show us where on the body we could experience pain.
  • For example a person with mercury at the 22 degree could have lung problems, Jupiter at the 22 degree could indicate dealing with kidney problems or pain in the thighs.
  • Moon at 22 degree could indicate having issues with the mother, same goes with sun (father) at 22 degrees.
  • Having sun or moon at the 22 degree could also mean that your mother or father exudes Capricorn like traits. They could be hardworking and focused on their career while providing for the family.
  • Mercury at the 22 degree could indicate having a speech impediment when younger or rather being scared to speak because of the way their voice sounds.
  • Mercury at the 22 degree can achieve a lot through their voice once they overcome self limiting beliefs that had to do with their voice/education. These people can make great singers, reporters, writers, literally anything speech related.
  • Saturn at the 22 degree could indicate having strong and life changing karma in this life time.
  • Saturn at 22 degree could also mean struggling to stick to a routine and finds it hard to do things long term, (relationships, career ect)
  • Ascendant at the 22 degree indicates having a sophisticated look and having good facial structure. Props to the cap degree ig
  • Mars at the 22 degree, esp if in contact with the ascendant, could mean you have a striking appearance. One that grabs peoples attention.
  • Mars at the 22 degree could also indicate being overly competitive.
  • Jupiter at the 22 degree can indicate a person who has had bad experiences with religion and or spiritual practises.
  • Jupiter at the 22 degree can also indicate a person who struggles to get back up after dealing with setbacks in their love life/career/academics/money ect. This is because Jupiter rules faith and wisdom and with the 22 degree here, it can make one easily spiral into their failures.
  • However through these setbacks that a individual with jupiter at the 22 degree can experience. They grow stronger and wiser, and eventually after dealing with these failures, nothing can really stop them.
  • Lilith at the 22 degree may find it hard to express themselves. Some individuals with this placement could be repulsed by provocative and sexual things but deep down, they just don’t know how to express that side of them. The other half with this placement could be actively seeking how to express their inner dark feminine but find it hard to connect with it.
  • Chiron at the 22 degree can indicate experiencing something traumatic and life changing . Whatever was experienced, individuals with this placement turn their trauma into something they can help prevent and heal others with.
  • Individuals with Uranus at the 22 degree could experience many troubles and go through bad things online.

  5. Fifth house: struggles relating to expressing oneself creatively, may find it hard to do or be involved in things that require creativity, issues with fertility and childbirth, may like to play things safe and not risk anything, short term relationships/crushes had some negative attribute to it, struggles with artistic/creative endeavours.
  6. Sixth house: problems with coworkers, struggling to stick to a routine, not knowing what career you want to pursue, bad experiences at work, can indicate being either super focused on health due to paranoia or negligent of one’s health.
  7. Seventh house: toxic relationships, karmic debts within relationships, not wanting to marry, troubles with business endeavours, could attract toxic people.
  8. Eighth house: issues related to sex, scared of sexual related things, could have experienced gone to funerals a lot, near death experiences, troubles related to witchcraft and spirituality, superstitious.
  9. Ninth house: religious trauma, constantly trying to find something to believe in, or could want nothing to do with religion, could experience troubles over seas.
  10. Tenth house: death in career, fear of being viewed badly by public opinion, struggling with fitting into society’s standards, could have a very beneficial career that puts you into the public eye, problems with authority figures and the father can arise.
  11. Eleventh house: not fitting in friend groups, could indicate having toxic and bad friendships, people with the 22 degree here may feel their manifestations and wishes will never come in.
  12. Twelfth house: Having subconscious feelings of doubt and worry that set you back a lot, death related dreams, could dream a lot about death and or fighting for your life, could have a lot of people praying upon your downfall from the shadows bc they’re "hidden enemies”

korpikorppi:

Googling for flower symbolism in China, I came across this:

The lotus flower is associated with Buddhism and is a symbol of feminine beauty; it is also associated with purity because it rises unsullied from the mud. In Chinese, one word for lotus (荷 he) is a homophone for the word for ‘harmony’ (和).

What really struck me in that short paragraph was “…it is also associated with purity because it rises unsullied from the mud”.

Because oh man does that give more depth and meaning to this:

image

No wonder the Wen were sceptical when Wei Wuxian wanted to grow lotuses in the Burial Mounds! Because was there a place less pure than that mass grave with it’s cursed soil of corpses?

And yet he did. He made something pure grow in that most sullied of places. And not just the lotuses.

image

Now I’m having even more feelings about this.

That also made me think about what a fitting symbol the lotus is for Jiang Yanli. For Jiang Cheng? Definitely the crysanthemum: “Chrysanthemums in particular are associated with longevity and wealth, because the name sounds similar to the word 久 jiu, meaning ‘long enduring’…” Apt, on many levels 😄.

The article about flower symbolism.

magnolias-by-the-window:

Thinking about mdzs chapter 84 when Wei Wuxian was pretending to be asleep on the boat and holding on to the tail of Lan Wangji’s ribbon. How, when it became clear he couldn’t pull it away without waking Wei Wuxian up, Lan Wangji just. Took it off.

We talk about how sweet the origin story of the idiom ‘cut-sleeve’ is, and this feels like a nod to that (I want you to rest, I don’t want to wake you) and is just as heartfelt and tender before you even factor in what the ribbon symbolizes (this is important to me and my family, it represents temperance and I’m never without it and no one but you has dared touch it)

Lan Wangji just decides ’I want him to sleep soundly’ and ’He can hold it a little longer’ and 'I can be without it around him anyways’ and leaves it in his hands.
